Good Changes

You wouldn't know it, but I'm writing this from abroad. Not in my office like normal, but at my gym. Bright and early. As I await my turn on a machine.

Which is perfect because I wanted to talk about straying from the routine, from the norm. You see, God's been doing some cool stuff in the past 14 hours (yes, I’m being that exact).
Yesterday, while I was rereading my latest Fear Fighting chapter, I realized that I needed to cite my sources.
So, I went back to my commentaries, and as I was looking, I noticed a hyperlink to another verse. Curiosity made me click it, and it's a good thing I did, because that verse directly refuted what I'd.
After rewriting to support God's Word, I called it a day.
Then this morning, during my Bible time, I had the idea to read a daily devotional booklet that I rarely look at. Not caring about reading the devo that corresponded to today's date, I simply picked up where my bookmark was...
And read about meekness, about focusing on the unique gifts that God's given each of us.
Why is this so impactful, you may be asking?
Because there’s a section in Fear Fighting titled Meek Made Mighty and I incorrectly assumed that meekness was cowardly, when its actually a strength.
Now, I'm not going to go into the details of this revelation (which propelled me to remedy my book yet again), but the point I'm trying to make is that God's corrected my interpretations twice in 14 hours...
All because I strayed from my routine and read something I never would.
And that's not all: that devo also affirmed a conversation I had with my mom yesterday, about my mission as an author/artist for the Lord. And the coolness factor continues with this third reality—
If I had read that devo on the date it was supposed to be read, all of this would've been lost on me.
God guided me to those words today because I needed to hear them today. And look, since I got to the gym late (because I was reading said spectacular devo), I had to wait for the bench press. And in embracing the changes in my routine, I've written this whole thing!
God's timing reigns, friends. Don't be afraid when your plans change...
Because His plans are always better than ours.
