"Masterpiece"

Hi friends! This is "Masterpiece" and I love how God worked! I sketched this rose out almost 3 years ago but there was never a good time for me to paint it. In His wisdom, the Lord recently inspired me to finish it, and I treasure the meaning behind this piece.

This magnificent "Masterpiece," in all its blooming glory, is how God sees us. We are this rose, brilliant and bright and beautiful. Flawless. We are flawless.

Friends, our Abba declares that we are FLAWLESS! How amazing is that!?

"We are God's masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which He prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:10).

This verse is one of my favorites because I love being my Abba's masterpiece, His greatest creation, His prized possession. And He treasures each of us in this way, crowning us with His love and light.

We are princesses and princes of the King!

But no matter how unbelievable this truth is, sometimes we fail to receive God's blessing over us. I do this a lot, believing the lies that say I'm broken and unlovable. Maybe some of you can relate.

But God pulls me out of my self pity and condemnation. He reminds me of His truth: I may be broken, but I am also fully and completely loved.

God can't focus on our flaws when He is so enamored with our beauty!

In His great love, Jesus showers His beauty over us and we are no longer defined by our sins. Instead, we are defined by our Savior.

And our Savior says:

We are made in His image (Gen 1:26-28)

We are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139)

We are a little lower than the angels, crowned in glory and honor (Psalm 8:4-9).

And we are loved, REALLY REALLY LOVED (John 3:16, Rom 5:6-11)!

And when I look at this painting, God helps me remember. Remember how He sees me, how loved I truly am. I hope He does the same for you, because God yearns for us to live in His freedom and light.

May we receive His truth: we are God's masterpieces, fully known and fully loved. Through Jesus, we are flawless and priceless; praise the Lord!
